Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at Kashmiri youth who are pleting stones and termed them misguided. He asked them to choose between terrorism and tourism.
“You have two ways—tourism and terrorism. For 40 years blood letting is on but it has only take away human lives. This blood game ahs not helped anybody. If you would have chosen tourism it would have made a difference. We are with J & K government to promote tourism” he said at the inaugration of longest road tunnel.
“I want to tell youth of Kashmirwhat strength of stone is some misguided Kashmiri youth pelting stones, while other youth are cutting stones to build Kashmir’s future”.
“This is not to shorten the distance between Srinagar and Jammu but a leap in development”
“This tunnel has not only become possible with the money but aslo with the sweat of youth of Jammu and Kashmir”
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Nashri-Chenani tunnel — the longest in India — on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.
Modi was accompanied by Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Governor N N Vohra and Minister of State for PMO and MP from Kathua-Udhampur constituency, Jitendra Singh.
